“The Lord shall fight for you, and you shall hold your peace.” — Exodus 14:14
In the thick of battle, when fear and fire press in, stand firm—Christ, your Commander, fights with you, and the unseen army of heaven stands at your back. —D.

You’re in the thick of it now. The fire is hot, the weight heavy, and the dark forces have drawn close. But do not break. Do not flee. The Lord Christ, your Commander, is nearer than the breath in your lungs. He stands with His mighty host, the ranks of angels who do not falter, who do not yield, who will not let you fall. The Lord shall fight for you.
The whisper in the storm tells you to quit. To bow to fear. To slip from the field and let the battle pass you by. But you? You plant your feet, you press against the weight. The fire of passion, the devil’s tricks—none of them will drive you from your ground. Call out from your depths, “Deliver me not over unto the will of mine enemies!” (Psalm 27:12).
The enemy wants you to believe you stand alone, that this fight cannot be won. But the lie has no hold on you. The truth is older than the world itself: You are not alone, and you never were. The Commander fights at your side. The unseen army of heaven stands at your back. And the battle? It was never yours to lose. You are part of something greater, something unshaken. And in the darkest hour, when all seems lost, that is when the Light breaks through.
