Prayer:

“Be watchful, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong.” — 1 Corinthians 16:13

Lord, You have placed me here to stand, to hold the line when others falter. Give me the strength to endure, the will to press on, and the wisdom to know that I do not stand alone. Keep my mind sharp, my heart steady, and my hands ready for the work You have set before me. Amen.

Meditation:

Some men are called to build, others to gather—but you? You are called to stand. To watch while others sleep, to hold firm when the ground shifts, to keep your place when the weight bears down. The world will tell you to ease up, to step aside, to let someone else take your post. But the ones who hold the line do not yield. Strength is not in the loud boast or the easy road—it is in the steady step, the firm grip, the quiet will to endure. And know this: you are not left to stand alone. Christ is your strength, the One who does not break, who does not bend. Hold fast. The Lord who called you to this post will keep you at it.
