“For we walk by faith, not by sight.” —2 Corinthians 5:7
When the path disappears and the dust blinds you, stand firm. The hand of God still holds you fast, though you cannot see it. —D.

There are times when the road you’ve walked that was familiar, steady, sinks into dust. That holy hush you once carried, the deep pool of peace inside you, dries up without warning. Restlessness rises like a wild wind, kicking up clouds that choke your sight and hollow your prayers. You stumble through a desert of your own making, half-believing you’ve been left behind. But hear this: the storm you stand in is not a curse, and the barren ground beneath your feet is not forsaken. This is the field where battles are fought and won.
God does not send these storms to ruin you but to forge you. The saints you honor, the ones who shine in His kingdom, walked through this very dust. They tripped on the same stones. They groped forward with empty hands. They, too, felt the silence stretch long and the peace slip away like smoke. But they did not turn back. They stood their ground, battered and blind, trusting the voice that spoke in the darkness even when the light was hidden from their eyes.
So when the dust blinds you, when the world within and without seems to break loose, do not let despair have the last word. Cry out from the marrow of your bones, “Lord, I am here. Lost though I may be, I am Yours.” It is not in fleeing the storm but in standing firm within it, in letting it strip away what cannot last, that you find the deeper Truth. God’s promises do not fade when your way grows dim. The dust will settle. The way will clear. And you will find that the same hand that led the saints through the storm is leading you still—steady, sure, and strong.
