“The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.” — Exodus 14:14

The fight is fierce, the weight heavy, but those who stand, those who call upon God, will see the foe scattered and the dawn break. —D.

When the battle presses too close, when the weight bears down, step back. Feel the truth of your own helplessness—not as despair, but as a reckoning. This fight was never yours alone. By your own strength, you will be overrun. But with God? The impossible is as nothing.

Cry out, from the depths, “Arise for our help, and redeem us for Thy mercies’ sake!” (Psalm 44:26). Call on Christ as a soldier calls on his war-chief, “Fight against those who fight against me. Take hold of shield and buckler, and rise up for my help” (Psalm 35:1-2).

Let the foe that hunts your soul be scattered, let those who stand against you be put to flight. You do not stand alone. The Holy Spirit is with you, the breath of God moving through you. Your guardian angel watches, wings stretched wide, turning away the arrows meant for your heart, sword in hand, felling the unseen ones that work for your ruin. This is no clash of men, no short-lived strife of the earth. It is the old war of the spirit, the struggle that has burned through the ages. And every prayer, every time you gather yourself and turn again to God, is a stroke against the dark.

And when the night presses in, when the weight of the fight leaves you bent and breathless, do not give in to fear. Stand. Kneel if you must, but do not yield. The enemy would have you think you are lost, that the ground beneath you is slipping. But the Word of God does not shake. The Name you call upon does not fail. He who keeps you will not slumber. The war is won, though the fight still rages. And when all else falls away, when the strongholds of the foe lie in ruin, those who stood, those who called on His Name, will rise.
