First look at the new TANDEMKROSS “Thunder” Hammer for the S&W Victory 22!

TANDEMKROSS (TK) has just announced the exciting release of their new “Thunder” hammer, and SpotterUp was lucky enough to get a sneak peek!

Right out of the box, you can tell that TK has spent time ensuring this hammer is a quality part.

The “Thunder” is precision-machined from hardened S7 tool steel and fits perfect as a drop-in replacement installation.

TK always offers great product information and installation instructions which make any of their products a simple install.

TANDEMKROSS states the finish is a diamond-like coating for impact and heat resistance. The hammer also features an upgraded, dog-bone style strut pin.

There are three pieces, with a strut pin being held in place with pressure. My experience with TANDEMKROSS parts is that TK delivers on reliability.

I’ve had the “Thunder” hammer installed for a few days now and can genuinely say I can feel the difference. Most noticeable is the lighter trigger pull under 2lbs!

TK produced a video showing the change in pull weight as well as documentation on pull-weight testing.

Pull weight testing:

– Stock hammer & stock trigger = ~ 4lbs 13.8 oz

– “Thunder” hammer % stock trigger = ~ 4 lbs 1.4 oz

– Stock hammer & “Victory” trigger = 2lbs 13.3 oz

     – Thunder Hammer & “Victory” Trigger = ~1lb 14.3oz

The key benefits of the hammer are:

  • Lighter weight for improved performance
  • Reduces trigger pull weight and lock time
  • Precision machined from hardened S7 tool steel for long-lasting durability

..and of course being made in the USA with a lifetime warranty makes it an easier decision!

In a nut shell, the TK “Thunder” hammer is a quality component which I’ll easily call an improvement over the factory hammer.

I look forward to shooting with this a many competitions to come!
