What Is Unshakeable
by Donavon L Riley
God, in His mercy, lifts the veil on the devil’s lies, exposing the contradictions that seep into our world like a thick fog. The enemy orchestrates a symphony of confusion, framing the Machine—the system with its chorus of “equality” and “progress”—as a savior when it only leads us deeper into alienation. But God sees past this masquerade. Where “equality” is used as a weapon, often it’s aimed directly at dismantling the sacred institutions that hold humanity together, like the family. Even the charge to steward creation, holy and pure in its true form, is twisted into a pretext for controlling agendas. But God, who made both earth and family, invites us to stand within His truth—a truth that speaks for itself, without slogans or coercion.
When we stray from God’s order, He allows us to taste what lies beyond His boundaries, revealing the gravity of our choices. Outside His design, there is no real freedom; there’s only a hollow, mocking imitation. We fall not into an open meadow, but into a labyrinth where darker forces assert control, stripping away the richness of God’s creation. In place of the Father’s caring authority, we find the rule of empty promises that tighten into bondage. We exchange a loving guide for a cold system that leaves us stranded. Yet God, with endless patience, holds out His hand to pull us back, calling us to leave behind the counterfeit freedom that enslaves us and walk toward the light of His kingdom.
And it is God’s grace that breathes life back into the family, making it a beacon in the wilderness. Where the world sows disorder, God’s structure—father, mother, child, bound in love and duty—becomes a symbol of true belonging. Just as St. Paul sought to stir his own people to envy for what they had lost, God uses the family as a living testament of His order. When husbands and wives, parents and children move with the sacred rhythm He set, they embody something enduring, a refuge from the world’s storms. In each small act of faithfulness, God shines a light that calls others to remember the beauty of a simpler, truer life.
God uses this quiet harmony to stir a longing in those still wandering. In the world’s noise, the sight of a family rooted in His grace becomes a paradox, a quiet invitation to rest. It whispers to those burdened by the world’s empty promises, urging them to draw close, to consider that there might be something better than the relentless chase for fleeting satisfactions. The family, in its love and humility, offers a glimpse of His kingdom’s peace—a peace that doesn’t need fanfare to make its presence known.
In this way, God draws us back to Himself. Through every small mercy, through the visible love of a family in His care, He teaches us again the value of order, humility, and surrender. He reminds us that our true freedom is found not in the absence of authority but in the embrace of His boundless, fatherly grace. Where the world presents a fragile mirage, God restores what is unshakeable. He brings us back to His fold, renewing us with a grace that does not waver, and calling us to a life that breathes with His steady, life-giving spirit.
