Viktos not only makes good clothing but, they have many gloves to choose from as well. From insulated, to heavy duty ones that protect you knuckles, vented gloves and even ones that allow you to put your own “MORALPHABET” on them. I received a pair of LEO Duty Gloves to review.

Over the years I have worn gloves that were Kevlar lined, Nomex, leather and hard knuckled for either patrol or on SWAT.  Each had its own uses and held up differently. Some were really stiff and difficult to handle things with and others they were easy to use but offered little to no protection.

The LEO Duty Gloves I received in Nightfjall color are the perfect every day wear gloves for patrol or those that want a glove that wears well and is functional. The lightweight feeling made me feel like I wasn’t wearing gloves at all. Breathable material kept my hands from sweating as some others have in past. The glove opens and closes from the bottom as tight or loose around your wrist as you want it. There is a looped cord as well that makes pulling the gloves up on your hand very easy.

Wearing my gloves I found that I did not lose the tactile feeling while holding my pen while writing or have any issues typing on a laptop. No issues with going inside my vest pockets to pick out my notebook, reaching inside my pants pockets to get keys or my wallet. While patting down subjects I still felt that the gloves allowed me to feel for objects that are inside pockets or on their person. The gloves also worked great with the touchscreen of my laptop and the tablet we use at work. I did have some issues with my cell phone selecting icons on the screen but, I have always had issues with gloves in the past so it wasn’t a big issue for me. Drawing, shooting, reloading and reholstering were not an issue while wearing the LEO Duty Gloves.

After wearing them for a month, I feel that they are one of the best ones I have used at work. The price of the LEO Duty Glove is very reasonable, only $35.00 and many colors are available. Nightfajall (dark), Fieldcraft (tan), Greyman (gray) and Ranger (olive).
