What people said about the book:

  1. I came across Nick through his YouTube channel, and after watching several of his videos, subscribed. I was impressed by his knowledge and ability to get it across. Though I am an American veteran, I was never deployed and thus never personally experienced any PTSD. I was after AD (still a reservist) a ranking LEO and subsequently injured in an auto crash with a drunk driver. Lost both careers in split second and in pain… not being always adequately treated because of what’s in the news. So I instead applied the book’s concept physically. I live on a half acre property in a rural area so I don’t have far to go to find green. I spend at least a half hour a day in my hammock, and the relaxation has really helped. Even “camping” overnight on my half acre gave me the opportunity to go “wild” and connect with nature. It was amazing to listen, and fall asleep to the sound of several owls “talking”… something you don’t hear during the day. I definitely recommend it to all veterans, public safety officials, especially those who did sustain some issue.
  2. Nick has produced a gem of a book. His enthusiasm for, and knowledge of, the natural world oozes from every page. The fact it’s deeply rooted in his personal experience of battling complex PTSD gives it the edge over other “get out in nature” publications. If you’re ever in a low spot, or indeed want to understand how to never be in one, you should reach for this book, take in the guidance (for it’s only ever that, there’s never “you must do as I say” here) and consider how getting back to your ancestral basic needs can really have a place in this crazy modern world.
  3. I recently bought “Rewild Your Mind” by Nick, a former Royal Marine Commando and Bushcraft expert. This book is a must-read for anyone who loves spending time in nature or wants to reconnect with the outdoors. From the very first page, Nick’s passion for the great outdoors is evident. He takes you on a journey of discovery and invites you to step outside your comfort zone and explore the beauty of nature. Whether you are a seasoned adventurer or just starting out, “Rewild Your Mind” is filled with practical tips and advice to help you make the most of your time in nature. One thing I particularly appreciated about this book was Nick’s emphasis on the mental benefits of spending time in nature. He talks about the healing power of nature and how it can help us de-stress and improve our mood. Nick’s writing style is engaging and accessible, and his love for nature shines through on every page. He includes beautiful drawings throughout the book that will inspire you to get outside and explore. “Rewild Your Mind” has already inspired me, and I hope it will inspire my children, too. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to deepen their connection with nature and improve their mental and physical well-being.
Overall, “Rewild Your Mind” is a five-star book that has the power to change lives. Thank you, Nick, for sharing your knowledge and passion and encouraging folk to get outside and rewild their mind.
