The Perseverance Survival (PS) Woobie Hoodie has been on the market for a minute and I’ll admit I’m slow to hear about it but I have to say I’m probably one of their biggest fans. I’ve told my work mates about it and a few already made purchases of their own. The poncho liner has been around since it was first introduced in Vietnam. I’m not certain about the term “Woobie”.
I found the brand online via a soldier who told me about it. I was familiar with a company making smoking jackets out of the camouflage pattern but I wasn’t aware of Perseverance Survival making hoodies. Upon seeing the item on the internet I knew I had to have one. The company offers a few hoodie choices: MARPAT, Woodland Camo, Coyote Tan and the A-Type which I own and that I like the best.
The founder of PS sent me a hoodie soon after I made contact with the company PS. The item is light-weight, smart looking and affordable. The jacket is very light because it doesn’t use any filler and I actually like that it doesn’t. This is a good product for wearing on a run, walk or going out with your friends. The material is breathable because PS only uses the “Woobie” material and nothing else.
The hoodie uses simple draw strings, and the model I was given uses basic, black material for the cuffs. The inside of the hoodie uses a dark brown material and this makes for a good contrast to the colored-outer camouflage pattern. The hoodie also uses a kangaroo pocket on the torso of the garment. This garment feels so soft and good on the skin. It can be squeezed into a ball very easily and scrunched into your backpack, computer bag, or go-bag. Really nice execution by PS. The only thing that I would change is to add an American flag patch on the right shoulder. This is something I can easily do by taking it to my tailor.
I don’t have much info to tell you about PS other than the owner is an active duty member of the military. I’ve heard nothing but good things about the brand. If you get a chance, check out their site, and buy one!
