FLORENCE, Texas – Oct. 20, 2026 – Staccato 2011®, the creator of the 2011® pistol platform, today announced Oregon State Police SWAT as champions of the 2026 Staccato National SWAT Championship, presented by Trijicon®. The three-day competition took place Sept. 25–27 at Staccato Ranch Vegas in Pahrump, Nevada, with Washoe County Sheriff’s Office finishing in second and Lubbock PD taking third.

The 2026 championship brought together nearly 40 of the nation’s most elite law enforcement teams representing more than a dozen U.S. states, as well as teams from Canada and Puerto Rico, making it one of the most geographically diverse SWAT competitions ever staged. Competing agencies included sheriff’s offices, municipal SWAT teams and federal units from California, Texas, Nevada, Florida, Utah, Idaho, Oregon, North Carolina, Delaware, New Mexico, Louisiana and Washington, among others.

The championship put teams through a rigorous three-day assessment of shooting proficiency, physical agility and tactical acumen. Each five-person team, four primary competitors and one alternate, competed across eight main stages and five individual side stages before the top teams advanced to a four-stage, head-to-head championship finale. A $150,000 prize pool was on the line, with Oregon State Police SWAT taking home $50,000 to fund its unit’s equipment and training needs.

Competing officers carried a range of Staccato 2011® pistols throughout the championship, with the P4, P4.5, XC and P among the most widely fielded platforms, a testament to the lineup’s versatility across agencies of every size and mission profile.

The competition was hosted at Staccato Ranch Vegas, a 550-acre purpose-built training destination set in the high desert just west of Las Vegas. The campus features immersive, configurable scenario zones that challenge decision-making, leadership and tactical execution under pressure, providing the ideal backdrop for the nation’s most demanding law enforcement competition.

“The 2026 Staccato National SWAT Championship was everything we hoped it would be and more,” said Buck Pierson, CEO, Staccato 2011. “Watching teams from across the country, and beyond our borders, push themselves to the absolute limit at Staccato Ranch Vegas was an incredible reminder of just how elite America’s law enforcement community truly is. We congratulate Oregon State Police SWAT on an outstanding performance and thank every team that competed.”

“This event exceeded every expectation we set for it,” said Willem Driessen, chief marketing officer of Staccato 2011. “Nearly 40 of the nation’s most elite law enforcement teams traveled from across North America to compete on one of the most demanding courses we’ve ever built, and the level of performance we witnessed was extraordinary. The 2026 Staccato National SWAT Championship is a reflection of what this brand stands for: a relentless commitment to those who serve.”

“Winning the 2026 Staccato National SWAT Championship is something our team will carry with us for a long time, but before anything else, we want to recognize Staccato and all of the sponsors who made this event and our attendance possible,” said Dan Bell, OSP SWAT Team Leader. “The time and effort that goes into hosting a competition of this scale is significant, and it reflects Staccato’s ongoing commitment to the law enforcement community, something we deeply appreciate. To come out on top against several of the best SWAT teams in the country is a testament to every member of our unit. Every member of our team makes personal sacrifices, dedicating time away from their families to train and prepare for the demands of the job, and they do it with little to no recognition. I could not be more proud to call these guys not only teammates, but also friends. The caliber of professionals we competed against was extraordinary, and we have nothing but respect for every team on that line.”
