The Optika6 1-6×24 is optimized for fast-paced medium range competition and hunting. I think this is a great set up for internediate cartridges such as .223, 300BLK or 7.62×39 cartridge providing fast hits from zero to 300 yards and beyond. The 1X provides a no magnification setting perfect for the red dot and fast reflexive shooting. 6x allows you to see detail on more distant targets to identify threats or prey.
Meopta has been producing high-end European optics in the Czech Republic for over 85 years. The Optika 6 is priced for entry level shooters seeking better performance than the Amazon optics of questionable origin. They have many options allow you to get the features you want.
I test rifles, so I need a scope that has clear optics and precise adjustments. I have mounted the Meopta Optika6 1-6×24 scope with a Warne mount because it locks solidly but can be easily shifted between rifles.

I went with a first focal plane, illuminated red dot, MOA adjustment, K Dot German style reticle. A red dot lets me shoot fast up close and magnification lets me evaluate at longer range. Let’s un-pack this a little bit.
The RD Illuminated Reticle System features a highly defined red dot at the center of the reticle. The illumination control has six reticle intensity settings which accommodate conditions from extreme low-light to bright daylight conditions. Intermediate off positions between every setting allows the user find their preferred illumination setting quickly.
Meopta’s K Dot 2 reticle is fast in any light.
Magnification is adjusted by rotating the sleeve or with the optional quick-zoom lever, included with scope. It can be installed in four different positions. The level of magnification is clearly marked on the rear side of the zoom ring so you can read the setting from behind the gun.
In First Focal Plane scopes, the reticle is positioned in front of the magnifying lens. When you change magnification, the reticle increases in size along with the image. This means that your Mil hash marks change size so they are accurate at any magnification to estimate hold offs accurately at any distance. A disadvantage for hunters is that the reticle becomes larger at higher magnifications and may obscure the target but you can turn down the magnification if this is a problem.
The Optika 6 has click adjustments in .5 MOA. Magnification is adjusted by rotating the sleeve or with the optional quick-zoom lever, included with scope.
The scope adjustment knobs are calibrated in minute of angle. Each click of windage or elevation move impact 1/2 inch at 100 yards. The windage/elevation turrets provide a tactile “click” when you adjust them. You can feel the adjustments. The adjustment knobs are marked very clearly.
There is a push pull lock which prevents unintentional movement and a quick easy zero lock system which allows precise return to zero. Parallax focus adjustment is on the left side, adjacent to and along the same axis as the illumination knob. Parallax adjusts from 10 yards to infinity.
The proprietary ion-assisted anti-reflective and scratch-resistant lens coatings on the Optika6 are the best in the industry. These coatings eliminate glare and reflections while delivering incredibly bright images. The coatings also protect the lens from abrasion on external surfaces.
The 30 mm aircraft-grade aluminum main tube is virtually impervious to scratching or marring because of the ELOX anodized hard coating. The non-capped, target turrets have a rubberized surface for protection and a non-slippery grip.

Are any of the illuminated reticles daylight bright?
The RD reticle has a red dot in the center of the pattern. At the highest setting, it is plenty bright enough to see in bright day light.
Does the 1-6×24 really have parrallax adjustment from 10M and side parrallax adjustment? Hope so cause I will buy one if so but I thought I read somewhere it was fixed parrallax at 100M and the side knob is the brightness adjustment for the red dot?
There is Paralax Correction from 10 yd to infinity. Buy one, you won’t regret it.
