There are those who choose to tear down with their words, their tongue is used for cruelty, so causally spoken as they intentionally wound you. Even moments of hurt or personal experiences twisted to hurt you, demean you, and attack your soul.

Then there are those who speak with love and kindness, who’s words are used intentionally, constantly asses if what they say is in love or not. Does it build or destroy, is it selfish or selfless, does it bring healing or suffering? In times of hardship or personal suffering, encourage and build up, walk beside you and comfort you, give you strength and walk beside you through it.

We must be so careful to not let such people in the first section have a place in our lives, while seeking to keep and foster the second in our lives. Nor should we allow ourselves to become the first and strive to constantly be aware of our speech using our words to build and encourage.

Thank you so much @ladytraveler for such a wonderful gift and @_invadergirl_ for once again capturing an intimate moment of my life and putting to life in art. I enjoy the simplicity in genuine kindness during adversity. In a world so filled with hate n cruelty acts of kindness are encouraging. 🙏🏽 This piece is a moment Revan and I spent many a time in meditation and solitude on the river, he carried me through some dark times and I am ever grateful God gives us animals to be the love of God when humans fail to be.
