“Told by an idiot, all sound and fury, signifying nothing…”~Shakespeare Any fool can stand (or kneel) for something. But the true believer understanding full well the consequences that his actions can have on himself and others is willing to part even with a life or limb. Let’s hope it’s his good name or life that a man states he is willing to sacrifice and not that of others who may even protect him while he promotes his agenda. The patriot fully gives up himself, the mercenary may give up others, while the fool gives nothing because he doesn’t truly comprehend what he is stating, what he is gaining, what he is losing, and what his real goals are. He might or might not live in the spotlight if the culture accepts or rejects his proposal but true history will note that his philosophy was thin on sensibility and he’ll fade into obscurity because his call to action meant nothing. A boy preens and postures in front of an audience. A man knows what he wants to say and says it, whether in public or in private, and his words, his actions and the way he lives his life he works hard to ensure are not contradictions.
