When I walked over to the Steyr Arms booth, I expected to see just Steyr Arms stuff like bolt action rifles, AUGs, and their small selection of pistols. But to my surprise, there was an entire wall that was taken up by Corvus Defensio. Corvus Defensio is an Austrian based company that specializes in manufacturing parts and modifications to the Steyr AUG. They also have been involved in testing some of the AUGs on the Steyr Arms site. Basically, the guys at Corvus Defensio are veterans of the Austrian armed forces and have years of experience with the AUG from training to fighting in Afghanistan and Africa. They decided to use this experience to help manufacture components and add-ons that help bring the AUG into the 21st Century.

After I started to talk to these guys, I found that they have an incredible amount of knowledge about the AUG and an even more incredibly high standard for the components that they develop and manufacture. Being soldiers themselves, they understand the importance of testing and retesting gear in order to search for weaknesses. Many of the components they produce have been through long periods of testing to guarantee that their products will stand up in a fight. What more can you ask for?
