The best thing about rainwater is that it is free from pollutants as well as salts, minerals, and other natural and man-made contaminants that reside in the water table.

- Reduces water bills (possibly eliminate)
- Safe and sustainable (most areas)
- Reduces demand on our existing water supply (hey California…)
- The Colorado River supplies over 60 percent of the water used annually in Southern California. California is currently using 20 percent more Colorado River water than it is entitled to under the “Law of the River.”
- The Colorado River supplies about 14 percent of the water used in California by agriculture, industry, commercial businesses, and residential customers. Colorado River water is by far the most important source of water used in Southern California (Legislative Analyst’s Office, CA)
