We swam on shipless oceans
Carried forth on rolling winds
Heard mermaids through sea grass singing
Our journey of wonder begins
Lost in eddyless waters
No man must pay for my sins
Lights that twinkle, moonlight bringing
Hope when our hope has dimmed
A sea of freedom surrounds us
A prison of heartache we’re pinned
Under seabirds, over whale skins, clinging
Our journey of woe begins
Lost in eddyless waters
No man must pay for his sins
Lights that twinkle, moonlight bringing
Hope when our hope has dimmed

There’s a song or poem or story inside each of us. Good or bad, just write. I heard Gene Clark and the poem came to me. Sometimes you pay homage to the greats.
I’m uncertain of the origins of the image. Beautiful drawing.
