Like it or hate the idea of the Mission Critical Baby Carrier it is on the market for parents. The style is intended for fathers who want a carrier that looks less like the traditional carriers on the market. This carrier seems as if it could be found in the sporting goods or hardware departments of most men’s stores. In fact this item may even suit mothers who’ve spent time in the military, have left the military or who simply like the practical yet tactical look.
The carrier has many latches and straps to provide security for the wearer and the child. The child cannot fall out of the carrier as it is built to hold them in firmly. The weight of the child is distributed evenly across the parent due to the configuration of the vest. A foam padding adds distance between the parent and child that in turn allows the parent to have their hands free.
The liner is removable and can be washed. The baby can face in or out depending on their stage of development. The carrier was designed to be functional and comfortable and can seat a child between 8 and 35 lbs.
Some testers have noted the lower area could be more supportive for the child’s hips so their legs won’t dangle straight down and to the side too. There is sufficient MOLLE webbing found on the front and this can be used to attach accessory and utility pouches.
The MOLLE allows the parent the ability to store a wallet, phone, keys or even baby wipes. Inside one of the zipper pockets is a sun shield that unravels to shade the child. It comes in around $180.00
