A lot can be written here about poetry. Some of the poetry that we love the greatest  came from the last 75 years. Not only did they write poetry but many wrote books as well. We present to you some poets and writers who served in the military. Not all did, such as W.B. Yeats, but they left us something with an everlasting quality. We may not all agree with the politics of Archibald Mcleish or the perspective of Pound, but much of what they wrote about are universal themes of life, love, death, friendship, loneliness, anger, joy, God; can we relate to this? Certainly. Take what you can from it and enjoy.

I won’t provide the names of the authors. That’s for you to discover, their faces are good clues, to who they were and what they wrote… Hope some of these words grab you.
