Overnight, commandos from Shayetet 13, a specialized division within the Israeli Navy, conducted a targeted raid in the southern Gaza Strip. Their mission was to disable Hamas terrorist infrastructure used by the Hamas organization’s naval commando force, as reported by the IDF on Friday afternoon.

Shayetet 13 focuses on countering acts of terrorism, collecting maritime intelligence, and performing sea-based hostage rescues. This operation also involved the participation of additional naval and aerial units. After accomplishing their mission, the forces withdrew from the area, according to the IDF.

Separately, on Thursday night, IDF infantry, engineering, and armored units entered the central Gaza Strip and targeted multiple locations, including various Hamas terrorist sites, as stated by the IDF Spokesperson’s Unit on Friday morning. During this raid, IDF aircraft and artillery also targeted Hamas facilities, including anti-tank missile launchers and operational headquarters. The Israeli forces left the area without any reported injuries.
