Ultra Compact, Rechargeable, Hands Free, Headlamp

Meet the Bandit® Pro, the ultimate high-performance, multi use, USB headlamp for the consummate professional by Streamlight® Inc. This ultra compact, rechargeable, hands free, headlamp is the ideal light weight, weather resistant, headlamp featuring a large button for easy actuation, and a Lithium Polymer USB rechargeable battery. The kit includes a handy snap in hat clip adaptor to attach the light to the brim of a baseball cap or to add additional downward adjustability when using the headband. The new headlamp delivers an extraordinary 4.5 hours of run time on its highest setting, 21 hours on the lowest setting, and also signals to warn that the battery is low. The Bandit Pro’s long run time and USB port for charging on-the-go are perfect for any outdoor enthusiast, first responders, as well as “Do It Yourself” users.

I recently tested the Bandit® Pro during two long ruck marches with some friends, startingin the early morning hours. One march was along the C&O canal near Great Falls, MD and the other was along the Mt. Vernon Trail from Roosevelt Island south to Mt. Vernon, VA. The light comes with a hat clip attachment, but I prefer the headband which stays in place without being annoying. In fact, the light is so tiny, one forgets it is there. The Bandit throws a very wide light, making it a great light for hiking or running. I can always see the trail in front of me even with the low beam. It’s a great light for seeing and being seen. During both events I found the Bandit® Pro provided a steady, even beam at all times, offering a powerful 180 lumens and 4.5 hours of run time on High, and 35 lumens and up to 21 hours of run time on the Low setting. The large top button allows for easy actuation allowing easy cycling between the High, Low and Flash modes, even when wearing gloves.

While I wouldn’t use the Bandit® Pro for tactical tasks, this headlamp has a variety of different uses. I found it invaluable when I was working on my car and needed a bright light and my hands free to work. I can’t think of a better device for changing a tire at night, working a night detail, firearms maintenance, or training. It’s perfect for runners and cyclists who get caught on the trail after dark. This light is so tiny; you can carry it in your pocket all the time and not even notice it. This light charges completely in 2 hours, using the supplied short USB cord. I tested the run time and charge time and found it worked exactly as specified. The switch on top lights up red when the product is charging and green when it is good to go

Summary
