Newport News, VA – 7/21/2017 – Today High Threat Concealment (HTC™) announced the release of their new product line for canines. Earlier this year, at Shot Show in Las Vegas, the company introduced the Tactical K9 Belt™ (TK9™). The two-piece belt system allows handlers to securely attach leads directly to the tactical belt system. Since the launch of the TK9, customers have been requesting additional products for their 4-legged companions.

The new product line from HTC answers that call with two options for leashes in varying lengths and multiple collar options. All are available in either black or coyote tan and all are designed and manufactured in true HTC fashion. Made from the same mil-spec nylon webbing as their line of tactical belts, with high quality buckles and slides from AustriAlpin™ on the collars, and leashes featuring the KONG® Cable Frog. The new TK9 Series is built tough for working dogs and active canine companions.

“We are very much ‘dog-people’ here at HTC. On any given day, you can find between two to four dogs at the shop. We have retired service dogs, rescues, and lovable mutts on our team that all get to sport some HTC swag now. We’ve been asked to make dog collars and leashes by partners and customers alike for a few years now. Ultimately, it came down to finding the right combination of design and hardware we could get behind as a solid addition to the product line up. Our new products often evolve as a solution to a request from one of our customers. This new line does just that with HTC’s combination of quality and style.” – Adam Garrison, President at High Threat Concealment

Made from two layers of mil-spec webbing, leashes come in varying lengths from 4’ up to 15’. HTC offers two leash designs: a standard loop handle with swivel clip or KONG® Cable Frog and an alternate design that allows the leash length to be adjusted in 12″ increment with a G-clip and features the KONG® Cable Frog. The KONG® Cable Frog was originally designed for maritime and climbing applications, so it can easily withstand the weight of man’s best friend. It is quick and easy to attach – it automatically clamps when pushed into contact with the ring on your dog’s collar or harness. It removes just as easily with one hand, even when there is pressure on the clip (a dog pulling at the lead for instance) by simultaneously depressing both release levers, but will not open when only one lever is pressed, so there is no concern of accidental release.

1″ and 1.75″ collars are available in Black and Coyote Tan and feature an AustriAlpin™ Cobra buckle with integrated D-ring or offset D-ring (1″ collar only). Collars are made of mil-spec webbing, doubled for 1″ version, and come in 4 sizes, adjustable with AustriAlpin’s sturdy polished aluminum slot-buckle, ensuring that once the size has been set, it will not loosen during wear.
