Under Orders

Prayer: “Blessed be the Lord, my rock, who trains my hands for war, and my fingers for battle.” — Psalm 144:1

Lord, I stand today not by my own strength, but by Your hand. Train my will to be steady, my heart to be right, and my steps to follow Your way. Teach me to trust the orders You give, even when the path is hard or unclear. Let me stand my ground with courage, knowing You are near. Amen.

Meditation: There are days when the call feels unclear, when the weight of duty presses hard on the chest, and the world around you mutters half-truths and crooked reasons. But those who stand watch don’t answer to noise. They follow orders. And in the life of faith, your orders are clear: stand firm, do not fear, trust the One who leads you. He has not left you alone in the field. He trains your hands, hardens your grip, and walks the line beside you. This kind of steadiness is not loud. It’s not born of pride. It’s built in the quiet choice to obey, to trust, to keep your feet planted even when the storm bears down. You are under orders—and the One who gave them stands with you.
