I like this pack a lot more than I expected to. I have many packs from many different makers, so it takes a lot for a 24-liter pack to impress me.

This pack is simple but solid.

It has one main compartment with a built-in water bladder pocket and a bucket-style lid that opens away from the shoulder straps, making it easier to dig into the pack. The bag is made from sturdy 330D Nylon Ripstop. Two carry handles are at the top for lifting or securing the ruck during transit.

.

The lid:

Has zippered pockets on the outside and inside. I like that the one on the inside has a key clip. I am always paranoid about losing my keys while in the woods. With two zippered openings on either side of the main bag, this pack offers versatility for reaching items at the bottom. The spacious water bottle stretch pockets easily accommodate a full-sized Nalgene bottle, adding to its adaptability.

The side compression straps:

Work with the gear loops at the bottom of the pack to hold trekking poles or an ice axe. Finally, the pack comes with its own rain cover, held in a small zippered pouch at the bottom of the bag. The cover is blaze orange, which is a great way to ensure you are seen in hunting season or in a survival situation.

The padded back panel:

Is made from ridged foam, which is both comfortable and allows for airflow. My favorite part of this pack is the load-bearing system. It’s designed to distribute the pack’s weight evenly, a feature usually found in larger packs. The shoulder straps are really solid and comfortable, with laser-cut MOLLE for attaching small items. The sternum strap is adjustable along channels on each strap, and it secures with a buckle with an emergency whistle that works.

The waist belt is innovative.

It has a simple attachment system, can be easily removed, and will work on the AllHauls duffels. The belt has laser-cut attachment points, which allow you to customize your pack with additional gear. It also features an easy-to-tighten/loosen system to ensure the load stays solid, even while running.

By the numbers:

Comfort—4/5 This is pretty hard to beat for a day pack. The suspension system can easily carry more weight than you need.

Durability—3.5 /5 The 330D Nylon is tough, but this is a Skyweight pack. It only weighs 2.4 lbs (1.9 lbs without the waist belt). It is not a military rucksack, but I can’t imagine having any issues if you treat it properly.

Functionality—4/5 It is a solid pack with many unique features that I like. It can carry a lot of gear at 24″H x 9″W x 8.25″D.

Weight – 5/5 For the size and capability, it’s hard to believe that this is so light, especially without the waist belt (1.9 lbs)

Value –5/5 The pack retails for $150.00, but it is currently on sale for just under $100.00. If I didn’t have it, I would buy one.

Overall rating – 4/5  If you are in the market for a solid everyday pack, or something to keep loaded in your vehicle in case adventure strikes, this is a great choice.
