Anyone into action flicks has likely seen the 2014 action movie John WickWriter/directors Chad Stehelski and David Leitch did an excellent job of placing actor Keanu Reeves as an assassin who shouldn’t be messed with. The 2014 hit – which grossed $130.9 million worldwide now has a sequel coming in February of 2017. It will open with a car chase and have twice as much action.

One of the things that makes the movie enjoyable for fans is Keanu Reeves’ level of shooting skill. Actors go through a lot of preperation to become their characters, while many rely on camera work to make them look good. In Keanu’s case he actually practiced for it. He did a lot of pre-production tactical firearms prep. Read the statement from Aaron Cohen’s company Cherries Covert Ops Apparel below:

“Aaron Cohen trains Keanu Reeves for John Wick: Chapter 2. Training consisted of over 3 weeks of pre-production tactical firearms prep. Specific gear and tactics included concealed draw training with Cohen’s newly released Cherries Below-The-Waistband Deep Concealment Holster, and over 40 hours of carbine combined with limited penetration room clearing. Cohen was part of a tactical training team selected to train Reeves which included Judo, Ju-Jitsu, Krav Maga, boxing, 3-gun and more.”

“Keanu is one of the hardest-working people I’ve trained. He is the ultimate truth seeker when it comes to perfecting tactics. He is incredibly humble and I’m truly grateful to have gotten to be a part of his training team for John Wick: Chapter Two.”

The director wanted a European vibe and so the movie was filmed in Rome. They wanted to include stylish suits, style and an Italian sensibility. John Wick: Chapter 2 stars Common, Ruby Rose, John Leguizamo, Bridget Moynihan, and Ian McShane, and will reunite Reeves with Laurence Fishburne, who were first seen acting in The Matrix movie. The action in John Wicks 2 takes place four days after the scenes from the first movie. The movie will have many more assassins too.
