“A talker is all smoke while the doer is all fire and each must learn to control more and less of what they intend to be.”~Michael Kurcina

Fire šŸ”„ is a symbol of power in many cultures. It symbolizes change or superiority or control. It also represents wisdom and knowledge. How about passion or rebirth or hope? It has the power to burn everything down by lighting everything up! It is used to forge metal into various shapes while giving off intense heat and light. Fire is seen in the Christian faith as a symbol of holiness and the eternal presence of God. Tribes and cultures fought wars with it and still do. The 10th-century Olga of Kiev is reported to have tied burning tinder to birds; when they were released they flew back to their nests in hostile towns and set them alight. Greek fire was an incendiary weapon used by the Byzantine Empire to set fire to enemy ships. Volley fire was used to excellent effect to repel the attacking Zulus that greatly outnumbered the British soldiers at The Battle of Roarkeā€™s Drift. Charging cattle with straw tied to their horns and set on fire frightened and scattered armies. Prometheus in Greek myth was said to have stolen it and was punished for possessing the secret of it. Ultimately he who controls fire can shape himself or shape the world. Men can call for fire to rain down death on their enemies or use it to warm and bring health to their cold and freezing men. We can use our fire to bring light to men without fire in their own hearts. The world is full of sad men. Shape your life and in turn reshape theirs. Know when to be an ember and when to be a pillar of flame. Moses, even with a rebellious tribe was led by God as He took the form of a pillar of flame to show the way to a promised land. We must learn as men to somehow do the same.
