While writing this review, I do have a confession to make. The first Shemagh short sleeve button up shirt I received from Viktos was in a large size and Cadet color (like a navy blue). I did not read the warning on the web page about the chance of shrinkage while washing and the need to order a size larger. When I first tried on the Shemagh after receiving it in the mail it felt snug around the shoulders and chest but, would still work. I usually wear a size Large in in shirts from most manufacturers. My first impressions on the first shirt was that I liked the way it felt when wearing it. The fabric was  lightweight, breathable and as it fit against my skin was comfortable.

I started the review by washing the Shemagh shirt and by my not paying attention to the warning on the webpage and not reading the washing directions on the tag on the shirt the shirt shrunk. The size dropped at least one full size (just as written in the warning on the webpage). To fix my error I called up Viktos and ordered another Shemagh shirt and this time in extra large.  Customer service at Viktos was awesome!!!!! The person I talked to was professional and helped me with not only ordering another shirt but, set me up with my LEO discount. Veterans also get the same deal.

When my second shirt arrived I was ahead of the curve this time. I washed the shirt and let it hang dry.  I did need to iron it prior to wearing to smooth out some of the wrinkles.  Due to the problem I had with the first shirt I took longer with this review then normal.  After numerous times in the wash and tumble drying at the lowest setting, the Shemagh held up very well.

The Shemagh shirt has two zippered chest pockets. The zippers are easy to open and close and the pockets are deep enough for a small to medium sized cell phone. I does not fit my Note 8 if that helps you to get the sizing down. The Shemagh does not hang too far down on your body and conceals a firearm well. Sometimes a longer shirt will give me issues with drawing a pistol due to the extra length.  I wore mine with both 1911 style pistols and double stack semi autos without any issues.

If your looking for your next shirt to buy the stylish, lightweight and breathable Shemagh short sleeve shirt is one that will take care of that for you. While I created my own issue with not following directions, I can not fault the shirt for it. Make sure you read the warnings and directions….
