The Harper Tights are equipped with pockets large enough for AR-15 magazines, and belt loops large enough for a gun belt, and a stretchy material that makes movement comfortable and easy. I use a 5.11 TDU belt while shooting regularly, which is 1.5” and there was plenty of room in the belt loops for a wider belt. My only main concern was how stretchy the belt loops were, I felt as though I really needed to tighten my belt to keep it in place when I drew my pistol. With my belt tight enough I did not find any issues with my draw. With a wider gun belt your experience may differ.
Even before putting a gun belt on, and a few rounds of squats and jumping around with excitement about how good these tights looked, they stayed in place. No awkward pulling your tights back up over your butt, or gaping in the back! There was also not a part of the tights that went thin or were see through.
The pockets on the Harper Tights were probably the best thing about them, other than being able to wear tights to the range. They’re deep enough for a standard AR-15 magazine and also sewn at an angle that is comfortable to pull the magazine from. Finally there are pockets on women’s clothing that can actually be used functionally.
Now for the part that a lot of people first look at, the look of the Harper Tight. The color I received was Fig which is a maroon or burgundy color. There were three different materials used, one was a typical legging type material, the second had a bit of sheen to it and the third was stitched in the motorcycle style stitch. Being a whole 5’2” and weighing about 125lbs finding good tights that fit can be a challenge, they’re either way too big, too long or fit my thighs and butt but not around my waist. I cannot explain enough how good these tights looked on my legs. Ladies if you’re looking at these tights purely for a confidence boost, I highly recommend.
These leggings stayed put when I was shooting at the range, standing, sitting, kneeling, walking you name it they stayed put. The pockets were extremely functional and the ability to wear a functional tight to the range was huge!
