In a world filled with endless options for eyewear, Wiley X has always stood out as a beacon of excellence. Whether you’re an outdoor adventurer, a professional angler, or someone who simply values quality and durability in their sunglasses, WX glasses have something exceptional to offer. If you’re in the market for a dependable pair of shades that not only fit well but also deliver top-notch performance, look no further. These glasses are excellent. This company never disappoints, and they offer something for everyone.

The best feature about these particular glasses is the Captivate™ polarized lenses. Not only are they etched with Jacob Wheeler’s signature and treble hook logo (on the inside of the frames), adding a touch of style, but they also provide unparalleled optical clarity. No more squinting in bright sunlight or struggling to see through glare. Plus, knowing that they meet ANSI Z87.1+ safety standards for impact protection gives me peace of mind during all my outdoor adventures. I used the glasses that WX sent me, on a day trip to a national park. It was a very sunny day and the glasses served me well under bright and cloudy skies, and under forest shade; the trails passed streams, a lake and along open fields and covered spaces. I also use every single pair of WX glasses when I’m running, or at the gun range.

There are a lot of reasons to like these glasses:

WX glasses are not your average eyewear; the Jacob Wheeler’s are top notch. Engineered with military-grade precision, they are built to withstand the most extreme conditions. From shatterproof lenses to frames designed to absorb impact, any of their glasses provide unparalleled protection for your eyes. Whether you’re facing harsh sunlight, flying debris, or high-velocity impacts, you can trust the brand to keep your vision safe and clear.  Views are so clear and no eye strain at all. You can spot fish and anything else in the water, as the lenses block glare.

While their glasses are renowned for their performance in rugged environments, they also excel in versatility. With a range of styles and designs to choose from, there’s a pair of WX glasses for every occasion. You can find a pair that suits your personal style and needs.

I received the Kryptek Neptune with the CAPTIVATE™ Polarized Green Mirror lenses. They retail at $196.00. The CAPTIVATE™ Polarized Bronze Mirror price at $185.00. The CAPTIVATE™ Polarized Grey price in at $175.00 and the CAPTIVATE™ Smoke are $103.00. All of the models are good choices for comfort, price, function and style, You get what you pay for. Cheap glasses scratch easily, and some can shatter when you drop them. I’ve experienced this a few times with brands that make cheaply made eyewear; I’ve even experienced lenses that pop out of its frame when it’s not meant to. In a world where disposable products are all too common, WX glasses are built to last. Yes, I know that you can purchase glasses for cheap at your local gas station but you’ll be better served buying quality eyewear.

One of the hallmarks of WX glasses is their commitment to clarity. Equipped with advanced lens technology, these glasses offer distortion-free vision in any environment. Whether you’re out on the water, navigating rocky terrain, or simply enjoying a sunny day, you can count on WX glasses to provide crystal-clear vision that enhances your outdoor experience. I really like the Bronze Mirror color, but the Green Mirror are equally dope.

Here’s another thing; these glasses are trusted by professionals to protect their eyes. From professional bass fishing anglers like Jacob Wheeler to elite military units around the world, WX glasses are the go-to choice for those who demand the best. When you choose WX, you’re not just getting a pair of sunglasses – you’re investing in the same level of performance and protection trusted by the pros.

These are more than just eyewear – they’re a testament to quality, performance, and innovation.

Pros:

  1. Versatility Despite being aimed at fishermen, these sunglasses are adaptable for a range of activities, a characteristic common to Wiley X Sunglasses.
  2. Understated Elegance The Wiley X Omega exudes a classic sunglasses aesthetic, blending simplicity and style effortlessly.

Cons:

  1. Price Though not substantially higher, the Wiley X Omega typically commands a $10-20 premium compared to other models under review.

Performance: The Wiley X Omega Sunglasses excel in performance. Designed to withstand extreme conditions, they feature shatterproof selenite polycarbonate lenses meeting US federal OSHA standards and ANSI high velocity and high mass impact standards. Blocking 100% of UVA and UVB rays, they ensure distortion-free clarity, enhanced further by the scratch-resistant T-Shell lens coating.
