Weʼre raising £5,000 to provide therapeutic activities for injured members of the armed forces and blue light community.

Story

In January 2024, the annual Woodland Warrior Winter Fundraising Challenge will see former Royal Marines Nick Goldsmith and Karl Hodder hiking and wild camping accross 285km of coast to coast route along the Welsh/English Border.

With both servicemen having been injured in active service this will be an adventurous challenge in its truest sense!

Largely unassisted, the aim is to achieve this in just 10 days.

100% of all funds will go directly to The Woodland Warrior Programme

The Woodland Warrior Programme CIC creates connection and promotes mental wellbeing through therapeutic outdoor nature based activities. The aim is the conservation of both people and our natural environment.

Courses are free to all beneficiaries and so the organisation relies solely on grants and donations. £5000 will allow the WWP to support 30 beneficiaries for one year.

An example of the courses are : Tree Planting , Nature Recovery work , Greenwood Carving , Basket weaving , Leathercraft , Traditional Hedgelaying and Dry Stone walling.
