A few year back, I was looking for a lightweight, inexpensive shooting rest for accuracy testing and sighting in firearms when I came across the K-Zone™ Shooting Rest from MTM Molded Products Company / MTM Case-Gard™. It seemed like just what I was looking for, so I contacted MTM and arranged to have one sent out for evaluation. I have been using it ever since then and it has served me well.

The K-Zone Shooting Rest is designed for precision sighting in of rifles and handguns and for testing ammo. It offers rock solid performance from a lightweight (only 4 lbs.), fully adjustable rest that can be used as a front rifle rest or a handgun rest by simply removing the rear pad section. It is easy to setup and use.
The K-Zone Shooting Rest is a versatile rest that can accommodate rifles and handguns of different sizes and calibers. MTM considers it to be the most versatile rest that they have manufactured. It is easy to use, with a hand-wheel elevation system that lets you fine-tune the height of the rest to match your firearm. The overall length of the K-Zone Shooting Rest can be adjusted up to 7.5” to perfectly fit the firearm.
The K-Zone Shooting Rest is made of sturdy plastic and metal parts, and has rubber pads on the front, middle and rear to protect your gun from damage and ensure a stable hold. The front pad has a groove for rifle sling studs, while the handgun rest pad has a removable hard rubber top and four adjustment positions to fit various size pistols. The handgun pad also has a storage compartment for shooting accessories. The handgun pad is easily removed to allow the rest to accommodate a modern sporting rifle with standard magazines, such as an AR-15. The rest has cavities that can be filled with lead shot or sandbags for extra stability with heavy recoil rifles. The rest has four rubber feet that prevent slipping on any shooting bench.
