RIGHT NOW UNTIL THE END OF MARCH 5th, 2018 25% OFF ANY KUHL PURCHASE.  COUPON CODE: SPOTTERKUHL GO TO USE GEAR

Over the past three years I’ve become known amongst my friends as a bit of a Kuhl fanboy, and with good reason. I have about ten of their shirts, three of their jackets, a few pairs of shorts, and a few pairs of their pants. The reason is quite simple really, their gear is awesome.

Not only that, but it stands up to my abuse, which is rare. Usually when I buy any clothes, it lasts me about a year or so, tops. Kuhl though, still looks as good as the day I bought it.

When you buy a Kuhl shirt, you’re not just buying your standard run of the mill outdoors shirt. These shirts are made of high quality fabrics and with patterns that you’re going to want to wear. Most of the time men have to just make due with what is good enough, but Kuhl changed the game.

Everytime I’m at REI and something catches my eye, it almost always turns out to be Kuhl. And as usual, my bank account gets a little lighter.

As with all Kuhl shirts, the stitching is what you would expect to find on far pricier shirts, and the thread itself seems fairly strong. During my drills from concealment, never once have the buttons torn off or loosened up. This is fairly important to me as I run drills fairly frequently and a number of issues present themselves, usually buttons breaking off or tiny holes appearing.

A few of my favorite features include the cut, the buttons, and a secret pocket. The cut of the shirt is perfect for someone looking to conceal carry, even if you carry with spare mags or other various EDC items. Generally I run a Glock 19 appendix, and depending on where I’m going or what I’m doing I will carry a few spare magazines, tourniquet, and a few blades. When I wear their shirts, none of that prints at all. It’s not too slim, but also not too baggy. The fit is just enough to break up any printing you would typically see from similar brands.

The buttons aren’t your standard plastic either, its a nice gun metal with the brand engraved on it. The threading used to sew them on seems to be far stronger than usual as well, since I’ve yet to tear the buttons off when ripping the shirt up for a quick draw.

The last part of this shirt I love is the inside pocket, which has proven to be useful on a number of occasions. The inside pocket is hidden behind the other pocket, just inside the border so that it remains hidden from view from the outside. I’ve used it many times while travelling to hide my identification and a small amount of money. This makes it easier then just fumbling with a wallet that lets the world know what I have and where it is, I just keep exactly what I need in that pocket and never bother with anything else. Its location makes it convenient and protected.

Overall I’m extremely happy with this shirt, and not in the least bit surprised at the quality presented here.
