Gaza and Israel have witnessed a devastating toll as a result of rocket attacks launched by Hamas militants. Israeli authorities have reported a tragic loss of at least 300 lives, with over 2,000 individuals sustaining injuries.
The Palestinian Health Ministry has confirmed 232 casualties and 1,790 injuries in Gaza, while the Israeli Health Ministry has reported more than 100 fatalities and over 900 people wounded. Responding to the crisis, the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) declared “a state of alert for war,” as stated in an early Saturday morning IDF announcement.
In an unexpected assault, Palestinian militants unleashed a barrage of at least 2,200 rockets toward Israel, as confirmed by the IDF. Hamas has claimed responsibility for launching over 5,000 rockets, all of which targeted southern and central regions of Israel.
