I catch up with Dale. We discuss his family, life and his new book. Dale wrote on his social media page, “THE TERRORISTS’ TERRORIST: Several years ago I was asked by a former employer to join a mercenary strike team and be his strategic advisor. The team consisted of eleven mercenaries – Americans, Iranians, Pols, Colombians, French Foreign Legionnaires, and Israelis. The mission was to provide a special operations capability to a foreign army that was in alignment with US foreign policy. Specifically our job was to kill high value targets (terrorists heads and financiers). The target deck included ISIS, AQAP (Al Qaida Arabic Peninsula, Iranian backed Houthies, and their financiers the Muslim Brotherhood). My job was to command operations, training, planning, and execution of strike missions on targets. This was by far the highlight of my 35+ year military career. My first mission consisted of me and four others taking out an HVT and his security detail in downtown Aden Yemen one night. The weapon of choice was an IED that I built specifically for him. The result was a firefight with one member of our team getting shot upon exiting our vehicle and several AQ KIAs to include the target’s security detail. This is just a peak into my upcoming book that will tell stories about my exploits after I wrote my book American Badass in 2011-2012. The stories that you will read about include rescuing Americans from “velvet cages” in the Middle East, Hunting Iranian criminals from Singapore to Turkey, Bodyguard work in LA, and more. In addition The book will be interwoven with teachings about mind-set, optimal performance, and what it takes to think like and become the best version of you.”
