One of the challenges for shooters is finding consistent, accessible ammo at a reasonable price. This dilemma leads a lot of people to begin reloading. For the rest of us, we make our regular pilgrimage to the nearest gun store, sporting goods store or surf the internet looking for the right deal.

Due to this very issue, a young Air Force veteran decided to start his own ammunition company and jump head long into the world of internet sales. What makes them different than other companies selling ammo online?
Offering Subscriptions for their ammo.

Ammo Subscription offers a variety of pistol and rifle ammunition at a very reasonable price point. Additionally, all you have to do is place the order you want and it will continue to ship as long as your subscription stays current. This eliminates the need to go shopping for your ammunition. It will be delivered to your door, on a regular schedule. No hassle, no questions, just fire and forget.

.223 REM, .40 FMJ, 9MM FMJ and some of the blasters used in the testing

Founded in early 2017, this veteran owned business already offers a solid product line up with plans to expand its options in the future. Currently, Ammo Subscription offers the following:
.223 REM 55 GR FMJ
.308 WIN 150 GR FMJ
.40 S&W 180 GR RNFP
.45 AUTO 230 GR RN
9MM 115 GR RNCP
9MM 147 GR RNCP (-P SOFTY)

Ammo Subscription uses re-manufactured brass to help keep the cost down. They match re-manufactured brass with quality powder and bullets to create a consistent product at a great price point. Ammo Subscription sources bullets for their pistol rounds from Berry’s and X-treme Bullets. For their rifle rounds they use bullets from Hornady.

Ammo Subscription has a Referral Program that needs to be mentioned. After signing up for their referral program you will earn 10% of every sale made by those new clients you refer. Your referrals will be able to take advantage of a 10% off coupon on their first order. Who doesn’t like a company that gives something back to its customers?

I have mentioned the price multiple times. So how good is the price?
A 50-round box of 9MM 115 GR from AmmoSubscription.com cost $10.36 or $0.21/round. The average competitor online cost between $12-15 dollars for a similar product. That may not seem like a huge difference for 50 rounds, but when you look at the cost difference in a thousand rounds the difference is pretty significant.

I was able to sample their 9mm 115 gr, .40S&W 180 gr and the .223 REM 55 gr over the last couple of weeks. All of the ammo I used performed well. The only issues I had was when I used a Glock with a competition spring kit installed. Using this set up I experienced several light primer strikes. I swapped in a factory striker spring and the ammo ran like a dream.

The target pictured was the first 21 rounds of 9MM out of the box. The 10 rounds to the body were shot at 20 yards and the 11 (I can’t count) to the head were shot at 10 yards. Both strings were shot rapidly. That is more than acceptable capability for rapid strings.

Each of the three loads I tested was accurate, reliable (minus the afore mentioned snafu) and clean. I would have no problem recommending this ammunition for target shooting and training applications.

If are looking for a simple, efficient, and cost-effective answer for your ammunition problem, AmmoSubscription.com has the answer. And it always feels good to support veteran owned and operated businesses.
