To tell you the truth I do not recall how I was turned onto the Wilcox Gunslinger belt. Perhaps it was Joshua or Aaron who turned me onto Wilcox Tactical. Aaron and Joshua love to shoot and they write articles for Spotter Up. Wilcox Tactical was founded by Army veteran Kyle Wilcox and he’s a one man shop. I like businesses like that; guys who are just getting established and they are appreciative of every sale they get.
The inner and outer belts are very stiff and sturdy
There are a lot of variations of the gunslinger belt online to choose from. Whether you are buying from start up brands or very established brands, all of the brands attempt to provide the user with a belt that will not sag when it is mounted with a variety of pouches and a gun. I was drawn to Wilcox because its a small brand that offers quality gear at an affordable price. I want to support the small guy rather than a larger brand that already got its start. Kyle has been available every-time we call with a question.
Belts should act as a comfortable load carriage belt. The Wilcox line of gunslinger belts offers you a minimalist approach to a battle belt. There is an inner belt and an outer belt. Each belt is made from 2 layers of 1 1/2 heavy duty webbing and full MOLLE around the belt, to mount a variety of pouches.

For about $90.00 you get two belts. You get the inner belt that can also function as an Every Day Carry (EDC) belt and you get the outer belt. The inner belt is 1.5” wide and covered with Mil-spec loop on the outside of it and a liner of Hypalon for durability and comfort. The inner belt mates to the gunslinger outer belt to provide a positive hold without sagging. You’ll might notice the image below of Jay wearing just his inner belt.
The buckle is a hard plastic rather than metal but this does not take away from the performance of the belt on the range. You get two belt color options: black or tan. The top MOLLE color options are: Pencott Green, Tropic, Coyote Tam, Ranger Green, Black and Tan.
The belts are great for using at the range and can be fastened and unfastened from your body quickly once you are done competing. Kyle will make the belts to order by your belt size. He offers a every product a limited lifetime warranty against defects in workmanship. The Gunslinger belt and the EDC belts are not rated for lifesaving capacity, doing so may cause injury or harm. and the buyer assumes all liability when purchased.
Wilcox also offers what he calls his Wilcox Tactical GAT-STRAP. It is a new product release for them and is a low profile drop holster platform. The GAT-STRAP is made from durable webbing and provides 6 rows of molle to adjust the desired drop. It is meant to seamlessly integrate into the Gunslinger system via MOLLE attachments and a single leg strap. It is meant to prevent binding and rid of the uncomfortable heavy pieces of plastic, as the rig moves with you. It will accept most platforms but is primarily made for the G-CODE RTI wheel molle adapter. None of our shooters have tried it yet.
