“Sometimes mags don’t fall free. I don’t suggest that shooters wiggle the gun or flip the gun because it’s a lot of wasted movement that doesn’t work all the time. Give this a try. If the mag doesn’t fall free, continue your normal reload procedure (grabbing your spare mag), if you’re taking a quick peek at the magwell you will notice that your empty mag is there. All you need to do is a quick swipe using your pinky and ring finger. Notice how the mag comes out nice and I finished the reload. Also note that I put my rifle on safe when I reload. Try it out. Don’t do it for the gram, do it for life.”
Jon states, “I like to mix in performance shooting drills into my regular practice for a variety of reasons. For one, efficiency. Look at most professional shooters and how efficient they are. I think blending of the defensive and performance have improved my shooting dramatically. Be open-minded and go learn.”
Performance can be defined as a single task that reduces a man to the level of a machine. Become the machine!
