Many men don’t have a problem running through doors to face an unknown danger. Their courage isn’t in question here. Likely most men spend a lot of time understanding and then preparing how to hurt a man but how much time do they ever spend on refining their other tools?

My thought for today is, “what are you doing today to bring some other good into this world?” We spend too little time crafting our life giving instruments of peace but never on our death giving instruments of war.

Yes, the death of a bad man can bring peace but my focus is are we growing in other areas of our life? Are you nurturing your children today, do you speak kindly to your wife? How many unnumbered laughs do you keep in your bag of laughter, to diffuse a trying situation? How many innumerable kisses do you keep for her sublime body and her tremulous mouth? Or how many unwanted names do you call them, how many unguessed abuses can you use today?

Work more on something else today. Rebuild yourself. GROW. Learn to write a love song, or a poem, or how to plant flowers. Spend some time refining your instruments of peace because no doubt you have plenty of instruments for war.
