MAN OF ACTION Jesse Levin is the Founder of Tactivate, a social impact venture that meshes principals from disaster response, Special Operations veteran and entrepreneurial ecosystems to create new ventures and to carry out disaster readiness, response and emergency economic stability efforts. Jesse has served as an Executive, and Co-Founder of a venture backed business, Brooklyn Boulders and has co-created and launched internationally acclaimed concepts including the first co-working concept in the fitness industry, The Active Collaborative Workspaces and the countries first pop-up outdoor survival training bar. Jesse has served in a voluntary capacity to help NGO’s scale. He worked with the countries largest veteran centric disaster response organization, Team Rubicon in its formative years as the first Corporate Development and Partnerships lead and in support of the leadership team of The Defense Entrepreneurs Forum. Through Tactivate Jesse has led expeditionary entrepreneurial disaster readiness and response deployments from Haiti to the Philippines and throughout Latin America. Jesse’s work with Tactivate has been documented in case studies by CNA and featured in media outlets including CNN, Bloomberg, Entrepreneur Magazine, Forbes, The New York Times and FastCo. Jesse continues to invest in and launch startups, support NGOs, and frequently speaks and teaches on the topic of entrepreneurial approaches to community capacity building in both disaster response and the private sector. His new venture is the Readiness Collective. The Readiness Collective aims to establish beachheads to bring best in class education and community capacity building initiatives to strategic cities across the country. “Readiness is a discipline and practice. Like diet and exercise, it cant be purchased, it must be cultivated.The greatest adventure of all is being able to help another in need. Are you adventure ready? An experimental adventure readiness training club and lab to bring veterans, first responders and everyday community members together to reimagine societies relationship with Readiness. Our first club is located in a 6,000 sqft former Mercedes Benz showroom in the newest and last mall to be built in the country.
