The Death of Stalin tells the story of Stalin’s last days on Earth through a drama/comedy loosely based on historical events. What? The movie follows the Soviet dictator’s last days and depicts the chaos of the regime after his death.
It is a forthcoming Franco-British satirical period comedy-drama film directed by Armando Iannucci which chronicles the events that transpired after the death of Joseph Stalin in 1953.
It will be released by IFC Films in the United States and by eOne Films in the United Kingdom. It has been selected to be screened in the Platform section at the 2017 Toronto International Film Festival.
