I’ve been running a Crimson Trace laser since 2011. During a Green on Blue attack one night in Afghanistan the laser on my Glock allowed me to engage when otherwise I would not have been able to due to the lack of light. Identifying the threat was easy, look for the muzzle flashes from his AK.

Engaging from 25 yards away, and obtaining a sight picture from the shooters muzzle flashes, or my own would not have been nearly as effective as simply placing the laser on the shooter, which is what I did. In fact, I’d go so far as to say the laser on my pistol evened out the tactical advantages of the AK over my pistol. And that, gave me confidence, which allowed to shoot, move and communicate, vs just being pinned down and calling for help over the radio.

Regarding the latest Crimson Trace laser, without having run it I’ll assume it’s on par with the products I’m accustomed to, and good to go.
