For Optimization and Maintenance of the Human Weapon System

If you are one of those individuals constantly on the go or working in a high-risk, remote, and/or austere environment you rarely have time to sit down and eat a meal. You probably are not paying a lot of attention to your food intake. So how can you optimize your nutritional intake to maintain the “Human Weapons System”? Consider buying the Condition One energy bar to feed the warrior in you and maximize your performance.

Condition One Nutrition founder, Matthew DeMaio developed this energy bar while he was deployed as a U.S. Marine in Africa. “I was eating two different bars — one for protein, one for complex carbohydrates — to get sustained energy,” said DeMaio. “I was just thinking: Where’s the nutrition bar that’s just made for us and what we do? I thought I’d take a crack at it.” And so, the Condition One energy bar was born.

I am one of those on the go types; I work hard, play hard, and I am constantly looking for ways to simplify the fueling process and make sound food choices in a time-constrained and/or inadequate food environment. As I looked for ways to achieve the appropriate energy intake, with adequate protein, carbohydrate, fat, vitamin, and mineral amounts to maximize training benefits I stumbled upon the Condition One Energy Bar. After reading several articles on-line and reviewing the Condition One Nutrition website I contacted Matt DeMaio directly and asked him if he could send me a sample of his product. Matt was very prompt and graciously shipped a sample which included four each of the Apple Cinnamon and Chocolate Coconut Almond bars.

The bars came in what looked like a small “MRE-like” box, very unique, and each bar was individually wrapped in plastic with military like labeling. I immediately reviewed the nutrition facts on the wrapper; 380 calories per bar, 25 grams of protein made with whey protein, no soy, and 44 grams of total carbohydrates. I also noticed that the bar had a statement which said portions of the profits are donated to help wounded veterans and their families. I really like that. So I decided to evaluate these bars based on three things, taste, cost, and does the company have “All-American” values; i.e. pro-military, pro-veteran, and pro-law enforcement.

So let’s start with “All-American” values. The Condition One Nutrition website says: their mission is to give back and help support our Veteran community, which is why they donate a portion of each bar sold to other veteran run nonprofits, CHECK. The cost was very reasonable in comparison with your standard energy bar, CHECK. Finally, the taste; I was expecting a chalky or bland tasting bar, or something with a crunchy granola like texture. What I found was an amazing tasting bar, the best energy bar I have ever tasted. The one word I would use to describe this bar is “FRESH”. Just to double-check the taste I had several friends I “ruck” with and my son test the bar. They all were amazed at the taste. The secret to the taste in these bars must be the fact that they are not mass-produced. The process they use is simple; order, bake, then ship.

Look, this is a Mission Performance Bar, real food, for real people, interested in getting real performance. Every bar achieves a perfect, performance-defining balance of protein, complex carbohydrates, and healthy fats. This is great tasting bar, at a great price, dedicated to supporting military members, veterans, and the warrior in each one of us. If you want one bar for any mission to keep you driving forward under the most demanding conditions order some Condition One Energy Bars ASAP! You will not be disappointed.

A box of 6 sells for $27.99 and a box of 10 sell for $44.99
