A “gray man” is an individual who possesses the skills, ability and intent to blend into any situation or surrounding without standing out, concealing his or her true skills, ability, and intent from others. Here at Spotterup we believe that dressing and acting “gray” will improve your chances for survival if shit hits the fan (SHTF).  If you want to blend into urban and suburban environments while retaining capabilities that exceed its subtle appearance consider buying a pair of Wiley X Klein Aviator sunglasses.

While attending the opening day of the 2018 Modern Day Marine Expo at Quantico, VA I had the pleasure of meeting Chris Holmes from Wiley X. As I looked over his display I noticed an unusual pair of what looked like aviator sunglasses but were distinctly different. I was so intrigued by these sunglasses that I asked Chris if he could send me a pair to evaluate. Let me introduce you to the amazing Wiley X Klein Aviator Sunglasses. A must buy for the “Gray Man”.

What I noticed first was that Klein sunglasses are a “fashion-forward” style of sunglasses, they are very stylish look but do not let that fool you. Like everything Wiley X creates, the Wiley X Klein Sunglasses are safety rated and designed for on the job wear. Selenite™ polycarbonate lenses meet both the ANSI Z87.1 and OSHA 1910.133 standards for ideal security. The lenses also come equipped with scratch resistant T-shell™ coating and 100% UVA/UVB blockage to help withstand extreme conditions. These sunglasses also sport a full wrap around aviator style safety frame that does not require side shields. They also feature a variety of lens and frame colors, distinctive marbling patterns on the inside of the temples, a spring loaded hinge for a custom fit, and adjustable nose pads for added comfort. The Wiley X Klein’s come in a medium to large fit and include a cleaning cloth, hard clamshell case, and leash cord. I wore these sunglasses shooting, biking, running, and under a variety of conditions. The fit was snug but comfortable and I did not notice any slippage when sweating or bouncing while running.

FRAME DIMENSIONS

  • Lens Width: 67mm
  • Lens Height: 47mm
  • DBL (Distance Between Lenses): 13mm

Don’t wear those overt tactical sunglasses with a “shoot-me-first” signal. If you want to train hard, play hard, look good, and not compromise your style on the job get a pair of Wiley X Klein Sunglasses. MSRP price is $190 for the Polarized versions and $150 for the Non-Polarized.

The Wiley X brand has a reputation that speaks for itself, quality sunglasses that satisfy the need for performance frames for every condition. Make Klein your next pair of sunglasses.
