Tandemkross recently released their new “SuperGrips” grip tape for the Smith and Wesson Victory Pistol and for $13.99 it’s worth every penny.
Also, sneak-peak video of Tandemkross’s upcoming grip from SHOTSHOW 17.
When you’re shooting outside and especially at a match, SuperGrips are a cheap and easy way to strengthen contact between your hand and the pistol. Whether it’s a sweaty hand or wet from the rain, you’ll be glad this grip is installed. The SuperGrip comes in two parts, one covering both sides and another for the back-strap.
Grips Prior To Installation
I’ve tried a lot of different grip tape brands and frequently cut my own grip tape for various competition pistols and I give Tandemkross credit for cutting them just right and producing a great granulate rubber texture. Tandemkross also makes this grip for the Glock 43 and it has the perfect texture for concealed carry, one that shouldn’t be a problem rubbing against skin throughout the day.
Holding the Victory now with the grips installed it feels firmly attached to my hand and I feel confident this will aide me in controlling quick follow-up shots and transitions.
As of right now I believe this is the only available pre-cut grip tape for the Smith and Wesson 22 Victory on the market. I’m glad they went with this specific texture and not the sandpaper/skateboard tape which is more commonly used on higher calibers. The sandpaper grips provide awesome contact but also wear into your hands if you shoot 300+ rounds in practice or at matches. That doesn’t bother me anymore and my hands are accustomed to it but many shooters may find it uncomfortable, especially a child/wife.
With these SuperGrips priced at 13.99, it’s a perfect addition to #Tandemize your 22 Victory.
Here is a quick video of Tandemkross’s new fold-around rubber grip just announced at SHOT17 and expected hopefully by late February. Looks like a good medium between a full grip replacement and the “SureGrip” solution. I’m glad to see the contouring up front and can’t wait to get my hands on it.
