AAR Bravo Actual

I was asked by Bravo Actual to do a review of their After Action Recovery (AAR) between moving into my house and working a lot of overtime I’m finally able to sit down and write out a complete review 🙏🏼 Firstly, I don’t take a lot of supplements, I’ve found that a lot of the artificial Ingredients in them make me very sick, specifically the arginine and the niacin. Thankfully this mix of B-complexes and BCAA’s was extremely easy on the stomach and I never became ill, which is a huge perk for me. Secondly I always research what I’m actually putting in my body with supplements, and this product claims to repair the nervous system; so I did my research.

The amino acids that are in this product, L-leucine, L-Isoleucine and L-Valine, which account for 35% of the essential acids found in proteins. The other essential amino acids in this product Lysine, histidine, phenylalanine, methionine, threonine, tryptophan, are all amino acids that we as humans cannot naturally produce, meaning we need to supplement them for our bodies to properly recover.  The claim of being able to repair the nervous system was intriguing, so again I researched and found that in order to help repair your nervous system you need B-complex vitamins. Which is just a fancy way of saying you need b-vitamins, mainly B-1 B-6 and B-1. Thankfully the AAR has 6 B vitamins, all of which help convert your food into energy, create new blood cells, and help maintain healthy cells in general. Long term effects of actually repairing the nervous system is something that a scientific study would have to confirm, but I sure felt good drinking the AAR.

Now that the science lecture is over, I am very pleased with AAR. The taste is good, it’s not super chalky and has a fruity taste to it. One thing I have noticed was the more water the better. The recommendation is 8oz of water but I preferred it with a lot more, Id put it in my 32 oz water bottle and was much happier with it. The other thing I noticed was with less water the powder wouldn’t dissolve completely and would clump or settle at the bottom. It was fixed with constantly mixing it before you drink or just adding more water.

I tried taking AAR at different points of the day and with different meals etc. I found that I needed to eat something before drinking it. Part of that may just be my sensitive stomach. I noticed a huge difference in soreness on the days I would drink the AAR compared to the days that I wouldn’t. My muscles felt just better. My recovery was quicker and I felt like I wasn’t fatiguing in the gym as fast.

Overall it’s a delicious tasting drink that made a significant difference in muscle soreness and recovery! I gave some to a few people in the gym yesterday who said they also felt a significant difference in soreness and muscle recovery after one use!
